Classes offered Monday - Saturday
Classes are also held for children ages 5 and up. The introduction of jiu-jitsu and karate can be fun while helping build confidence, character, physical as well as mental strength. Powers Martial Arts also specializes with special needs children.
Classes are instructed daily by Ed Powers, Melissa Powers and with the assistance of higher ranking students.
Kids Classes

Kids Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is available for ages 5-13 years old. This class is perfect for beginners to experienced students. Student will be safely exposed the fundamentals of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu while applying it in various situations on students of varying size, weights, abilities and ages. All kids BJJ classes will instructed by one or multiple Powers Martial Arts Academy Instructors that are blue belt or higher in the Pedro Sauer Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Association.

Advanced Kids BJJ classes are reserved for students of Grey-White Belt rank or higher. Exceptions may be made for advanced white belt students by invitation of an instructor. The Advanced Kids BJJ class hones the students abilities and knowledge of Jiu Jitsu in a faster paced more detailed class. The goal of the class is to continue challenging advanced students while enhancing their understanding of Brazilian Jiu Jistu.

Gi classes utilize the traditional uniform in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. A Gi is required to attend this class along with the students belt of their corresponding rank.

No Gi Brazilian Jiu Jistu classes do not utilize the Gi. Instead students train in rash guards, t-shirts, shorts, and/or spats. The no gi class focuses on training with out the use of the Gi, modifying various movements and positions to accommodate the lack of grips.

Lil Dragons is designed to introduce children ages 4-10 years old to Isshin-ryū Karate in a safe and fun way. All classes are instructed by Ed and/or Melissa Powers.
